When you arrive at Torp Airport, I meet you there and your Norwegian adventure begins.

Accommodation

For our skiing holidays, we stay in traditional Norwegian apartments or cabins privately owned and managed by Dovland Travel. Because these accommodations belong to our own company, we can guarantee a warm, practical, and authentic stay that is perfect for small groups. 

Getting There: A Stress-Free Arrival

Arriving from Sandefjord Torp Airport is entirely hassle-free, with complimentary transport in our comfortable vehicle included for overnight guests, letting you enjoy the 3.5 to 4-hour scenic winter journey without the stress of driving or public transport. Along the way, we stop for coffee, snacks, and grocery shopping while sharing local winter traditions and history. Once at Hovden, the shuttle remains available for daily ski centre transfers and practical needs.

Booking Information & Transparency

To give you the best possible flexibility, transparency, and price, Dovland Travel operates with a clear and split booking structure. We do not sell package tours; instead, your trip consists of two separate components:

• 1. Your Accommodation: You book your stay at our Hovden apartment directly through us. To ensure full financial security and transparency, this can be done safely via our official Airbnb listing (or via a direct accommodation invoice from our property company).

• 2. My Host & Planning Service: You receive a separate invoice from Dovland Travel covering the custom itinerary planning, 24/7 on-site support, and your complimentary guest shuttle service.

• Flights: You always book and pay for your own flights directly with the airline (e.g., London Stansted to Sandefjord Torp). I will provide you with the exact direct links and recommended flight times so your arrival aligns perfectly with our guest shuttle.

Typical Costs for a Group of 8

Flights: from £60 return per person Accommodation: from £250 per night for cabins/apartments (up to 8 people) 

Planning: I organise a clear itinerary with accommodation, transport guidance and practical advice tailored to your group.  £150

Guiding / support: from £100 per day (All host travel and logistics included in the total package example below )

Example budget for 8 people

• Flights: 8 × £60 = £480

• Accommodation: 3 nights × £250= £750

• Planning cost £150

• Guiding/service: 4 days × £100 = £400

• Additional guiding/support costs: £420

Total for the group: £2,220 Per person: £275

Food and activities are not included.  

Ski lift and equipment hire are typically around £100 per person per day, with reduced rates for children.

Prices usually drop from day two and onwards, making longer stays more affordable.

Children under a certain age receive a free ski lift pass.

Hovden also offers a large, free cross‑country skiing network, perfect for anyone who wants to explore the mountains at their own pace.

For alpine beginners, there is a dedicated practice area with a conveyor‑belt lift and two gentle slopes, completely free to use — ideal for families and anyone wanting to learn in a safe and easy environment.
